Other Country

Country got its start  in the old time string bands of the 20’s and has been popularized so much now that  what a true-blue country music lover thinks is “traditional “ country music is largely rock, 50’s style. Still, their singers have interesting voices, good yet simple music even when the lyrics are maudlin and predictable.  The Bard Rocks listens to country radio from time to time and sometimes finds hidden gems, mostly from the requests from hits of the past. Hank & Jimmie aren't the only ones.
